What Is It & How Does It Work?

Ultimate Contour is a non-invasive procedure intended to change the appearance of the chosen area using ultrasound and/or radio frequency (RF) energy. The machine uses ultrasound to vibrate your fat cells in the target area, causing small air bubbles to form in the cells. Once enough air bubbles accumulate, the fat cells begin to dissolve and drain through the lymphatic system and out of the body.

Clients can expect to see a loss of anywhere from ¾ of an inch up to 1½ inches in just the first session. Session frequency is once a week, and the process continues until you achieve the results you’re looking for. There is little or no downtime associated with this treatment.

After melting the fat with the ultrasound portion of the system, the next step is using the Multi-polar Radio Frequency (RF) hand piece. Using even subdermal tissue heating, loose skin is tightened, cellulite is treated, and skin is more toned. RF is used to stimulate the production of collagen, resulting in smoother, more youthful skin, even after just one treatment. Best results are seen with 2-3 treatments.

Both modalities complement each other to achieve the amazing results clients are looking for. Ultimate Contour is not a weight-loss solution, and it does not replace traditional methods such as diet and exercise.

What to Expect

When you come to our office, you’ll receive a warm greeting. Our estheticians will move you into a treatment room.

You don’t have to put on a gown, just pull your shirt up.

Dr. Singleton will do the initial assessment and ask some questions about the results you’re trying to achieve.

We take measurements and put markers on the iliac crest on each side of your body. Based on these points, we mark the umbilicus, two inches above and two below, and then on the hips all the way around your body.

Once this is done, the ultrasound treatment will begin. A lubricating gel is applied to the area to improve energy absorption. The hand piece is applied to the skin, working across the treatment area. There may be some redness of the skin, but it’s usually gone within a few hours. Most clients report feeling no pain during treatment.

If part of your requested care, the radio frequency treatment is done next to tighten and smooth any loose skin. We’ll measure you again once you’re finished, so you can see the difference. Ultrasound treatments usually last around 40 minutes; RF about 15 minutes. Treatment packages consist of three, six, or nine sessions.
